About

May Ziade was born in Sydney and grew up in the inner west, attending the local Catholic girls’ high school, where she discovered her love for art.

May graduated with a BA Dip Ed (Visual Arts) from Sydney University (later completing an MEd) and has spent more than 20 years in art and education, working in primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. During this time, she ran holiday art workshops, helped organise community exhibitions and fundraising events, and painted and exhibited intermittently in local shows.

The move to the Blue Mountains in 2015, resulted in a different pace, and provided more time for studio work, exhibitions, and writing. The main source of inspiration for these areas is Bob Dylan’s lyrics and her natural surroundings in the Blue Mountains.

May’s paintings are available for purchase as original works, or as limited edition archival prints. See Store.

Her garden studio in Wentworth Falls is also the venue for open studios and workshops throughout the year. Contact May for more details.
